  • Determine your market segments.

  • Forecast sales by market segment.

  • Forecast profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheet.

  • Track financial performance planned, actual and variance.

  • Be able to respond to variances in a timely manner.

  • Utilize Business Plan Pro Software for all plan reports and tracking.

Strategic Planning

  • Given your vision, mission and values, what will be your business focus for the next 12 months? 36 months? 60 months?

  • What are your company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats?

  • Who are your major competitors, and how will you separate yourself from them?

  • How does your company’s brand draw attention to you in the marketplace?

  • What resources will be required to achieve your vision and mission?

  • What are your goals in terms of growth, employees, quality of life?

  • Are the goals you set reasonable, SMART goals?

  • How do you build flexibility and agility into your strategic plan?

The first hour of your planning process is free. Additional hours are billed at $50, and, depending on the size and complexity of your business and the level of detail you want for your Plan, we shouldn't need more than another two hours of Pre-Plan meeting time. Thereafter, for the actual production of your plan (writing narrative and entering your financial data into business planning software) my rate is $35 per hour. With an estimated 10 hours to enter your information, you should get the first draft of your plan, complete with financial projections, for approximately $500 - $600. After your plan is complete, we can meet periodically (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually) at the $50 hourly rate to compare financial projections to actual business results, and make adjustments to the Plan as you think necessary.
